Custom domain not connecting
If you've added a custom domain to your melabel artist website but it's not resolving, shows an error, or still points to an old site, use this guide to troubleshoot.
How custom domains work in melabel
melabel hosts your artist website and gives you a default subdomain, like yourname.melabel.io. When you connect a custom domain, you update your domain's DNS so it points to melabel's servers. Once DNS is set up correctly, melabel serves your site at your custom domain.
Step 1 — Verify your DNS records
Log into your domain registrar (for example, Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google Domains) and confirm that you've added the correct DNS record.
melabel requires a CNAME record:
| Type | Name | Value |
|------|-------------|------------------|
| CNAME | @ or www | sites.melabel.io |
