Troubleshoot common audio upload errors in melabel, including file format, size limits, quality checks, and stuck uploads.

Audio upload errors

If your audio file is failing to upload in melabel, this page covers the most common causes and how to resolve them.

File format requirements

melabel accepts the following audio formats for distribution:

  • WAV — recommended; 16-bit or 24-bit, 44.1 kHz or higher
  • FLAC — lossless, accepted
  • MP3 — accepted for some upload types, but WAV or FLAC is preferred for distribution masters

Common rejection reasons:

  • File is encoded as AAC, OGG, AIFF, or M4A — not currently supported for distribution uploads
  • File is MP3 with a bitrate below 320kbps — use WAV or FLAC instead
  • File has DRM or copy protection applied
